Ones Technology has been granted patents for its “Smart Lock System” and “Biometric Authentication System” in the field of access control technologies. These two newly patented technologies not only provide institutions with high-level security and processing speed but also support industry standards in KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law) and GDPR compliance.

What is the Smart Lock System?

Built upon flexible authorization and safety protocols, this technology offers multi-layered access management through a single centralized interface. The system enables users to unlock doors using a combination of biometric data, passwords, mobile credentials, or smart cards, depending on their authorization level. Furthermore, all cabinets or doors accessible to the user are listed on a single screen, allowing the lock to be activated by selecting the authorized area. To prevent security vulnerabilities, the system automatically shuts down if no action is taken within a specified period, ensuring continuous safety.

What is the Biometric Authentication System?

Developed to meet industrial requirements regarding the protection of personal data, this invention allows for high-speed verification of personal biometric data without storing it in an institution’s central infrastructure or servers. In this system, all authorization elements—such as the user’s biometric data, location, time, permitted number of entries, and identity ID—are contained within an encrypted QR code stored solely on the user’s mobile device.

When the user approaches an access point, the device’s BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) module detects the phone within its range and transfers the encrypted data packets to the device in seconds. Consequently, the device completes the verification process locally (offline) without being connected to any central database or the internet. Since the device only processes the data of the limited number of individuals currently within its range, processing time is minimized. Once the user completes the live biometric verification, the temporary data transferred from the phone is permanently deleted from the device.

These two patented technologies not only shape the future of cybersecurity and physical access control systems but also solidify the company’s competitive strength and R&D vision in the global market.
