This year, the Security Industry Association (SIA) hosted the SIA New Products & Solutions Awards 2025 in Las Vegas, USA, from March 31 to April 4. Bringing together the most advanced innovations in physical and cybersecurity, the competition set the stage for shaping the industry’s future. In this inspiring event, BioAffix® Gate Vision took first place in the Biometrics category, while BioAffix® Gate Vision Mobile secured the top prize in Mobile Solutions.

What Made BioAffix Stand Out in the Competition
Developed through the collaboration of Ones Technology and Intel RealSense®, BioAffix® Gate Vision and its mobile version, BioAffix® Gate Vision Mobile, stand apart from conventional facial recognition devices with their 3D authentication infrastructure. Equipped with depth-sensing infrared sensors, they deliver extremely fast and virtually impossible-to-spoof verification.
Both devices are equipped with a built-in MRZ reader, enabling the BioAffix® system to operate with a unique verification infrastructure. Biometric data stored on government-issued IDs and passports can be securely authenticated in just seconds — without the need for a central server — thanks to the combination of Intel RealSense® 3D facial recognition technology and advanced security protocols.
In this way, an individual’s biometric data always remains with the individual, while the absence of a server requirement allows BioAffix® devices to operate independently. Combined with the fact that no biometric enrollment is needed before verification, along with their high-security authentication technology and a privacy infrastructure that goes beyond GDPR standards, the BioAffix® Gate Vision family stood out prominently in the competition.
How Does the Evaluation Process Work?
Over the course of five days, the event subjects all participating products and solutions to a two-stage evaluation process. During the first two days, representatives from each brand deliver presentations to the jury panel. Following these sessions, the devices are showcased in the exhibition area, where they are re-evaluated by the jury. In this second stage, the jury directly experiences the solutions in real time, verifying that the features perform fully and flawlessly as claimed.
